About the Role:

Prepare to take part in a significant canvassing initiative in Madison, VA with The Voter Education Project. We are seeking committed individuals to engage with the local populace, disseminate essential electoral information, and motivate civic involvement. This temporary role offers a meaningful experience and the opportunity to contribute to the democratic process.

  • Flexible Work Hours: We recognize your other commitments. You will have the flexibility to work, including on election day.
  • Maximize Your Skills: Whether you are an experienced canvasser or new to the field, you will engage in various tasks, from door-to-door outreach to data collection, working closely with our Canvassing Manager to surpass daily objectives.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Self-motivated and diligent.
  • Previous experience in canvassing (minimum of two projects).
  • Familiarity with canvassing software and platforms.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Surpass all field performance metrics.
  • Engage with progressive communities in your designated area.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings.
  • Connect with local residents.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Basic literacy skills (reading and writing).
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to walk for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory):

  • Prior experience in canvassing.
  • Understanding of field targeting and campaign metrics.
  • Familiarity with local demographics and issues.

Compensation:

$22/hour
