About the Opportunity

The Democratic Party of Wisconsin is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Field Organizer. As a key member of our grassroots team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining local volunteer infrastructure, executing direct voter contact, and developing strong relationships with local stakeholders and constituency groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective grassroots organizing tactics, including friendbanks, high-traffic canvassing, canvassing, and phone banks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, including county party leaders, local grassroots organizations, and partner and ally groups.
  • Recruit, train, and manage local volunteer teams to engage in direct voter contact and other grassroots activities.
  • Work closely with the Regional Organizing Director to develop and implement statewide organizing and outreach programs.
  • Meet or exceed metrics-based goals for volunteer recruitment and retention, as well as direct voter contact.

  • Relentlessly goal-oriented, with the ability to work towards and achieve ambitious goals, even in stressful situations.
  • Cultural competency, with the ability to build authentic relationships across lines of difference, including race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, class, ability, gender identity, citizenship status, or other identities.
  • Ability to work long days with irregular hours, with a willingness to travel frequently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous organizing experience, although not required.
