This role is pivotal in delivering tailored investment strategies to both individuals and organizations, focusing on client aspirations and sustaining robust client partnerships. The Senior Financial Consultant collaborates closely with various branches of The Ladders.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on investment matters, encompassing retirement strategies, tax optimization, educational funding, income management, risk assessment, and alignment with investment goals.
- Comply with Regulation Best Interest (Reg BI) and uphold fiduciary responsibilities in all advisory engagements.
- Develop, nurture, and sustain client relationships through proactive business development, networking, and collaboration with internal departments.
- Facilitate the buying and selling of securities for diverse clientele, ensuring alignment with their evolving needs and objectives.
- Annually formulate and uphold a personal business strategy that delineates revenue and asset growth targets, outlines collaboration plans with designated branches, and identifies strategies for acquiring new clients while deepening existing relationships.
- Establish and maintain high-quality connections with clients and prospects.
- Support and manage existing client accounts by addressing inquiries regarding market trends, assessing client portfolios, providing investment advice, and liaising with operational teams.
- Conduct thorough research on investment products, market conditions, and economic factors.
- Perform portfolio analysis to assess investment allocations.
- Integrate innovative technology and solutions into practice management.
- Monitor sales activities to ensure individual performance targets are achieved.
- Represent The Ladders within the community through various civic and non-profit engagements to foster and develop new business opportunities.
- Clearly articulate and communicate the value proposition to clients, prospects, and partners.
- Educate and engage local branch team members through meetings, one-on-one coaching, and feedback on referrals.
- Collaborate with branch and other business line colleagues when non-investment needs arise.
- Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and applicable regulations governing the financial consulting industry.
This position reports to the Managing Director with a dotted line to the Branch Manager.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant business discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in the investment services sector.
- Possession of FINRA registrations, including Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65 in lieu of Series 66), along with state life insurance and annuities licenses.
- AWMA or CFP designations are preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of investment principles, terminology, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Proven ability to market and negotiate financial products effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and online systems.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, capable of performing complex calculations.
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a knack for identifying and responding to sales opportunities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
