Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Survey Coordinator II to join our team at RAND. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing small data collection projects and assisting Survey Research Group staff with the management of medium to large data collection projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surveys for programming and provide input on survey design
  • Test programmed surveys and interact with clients
  • Communicate with panelists to encourage survey completion
  • Participate in research design discussions and project management
  • Recruit, train, and supervise data collection staff
  • Monitor budgets and provide support for proposal tasks
  • Author reports or client summaries
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree required; MA/MS preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; minimum 5 years preferred
  • Experience managing a data collection project and familiarity with best practices in social science or policy research methods
  • Familiarity with at least one computer-assisted interview application
  • Bilingual Spanish or Chinese a plus
  • Advanced users of Microsoft Office and advanced users of spreadsheets
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

RAND offers a competitive salary range of $62,500 to $75,000, plus RAND's sabbatic pay, which provides additional compensation above base pay when vacation is taken. We also offer strong benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, paid time-off, and more.
