Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Survey Coordinator II to join our team at RAND. As a key member of our Survey Research Group, you will be responsible for managing small data collection projects and assisting with the management of medium to large data collection projects. Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage small data collection projects and assist with the management of medium to large data collection projects.
  • Prepare surveys for programming and provide input on survey design.
  • Test programmed surveys and interact with clients.
  • Communicate with panelists to encourage survey completion.
  • Participate in research design discussions and project management.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise data collection staff.
  • Budget monitoring and proposal support.
  • Author reports or client summaries.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree required; MA/MS preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; minimum of 5 years preferred.
  • Experience managing a data collection project.
  • Familiarity with best practices in social science or policy research methods.
  • Familiarity with at least one computer-assisted interview application.
  • Bilingual Spanish or Chinese a plus.
  • Advanced users of Microsoft Office and advanced users of spreadsheets.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Location: Santa Monica

Salary Range: $62,500 - $75,000

RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidate's work experience, education/training, skills, expertise; and internal equity. The salary range includes base pay plus RAND's sabbatic pay (which provides additional compensation above base pay when vacation is taken). In addition, RAND provides strong benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid time-off and more.
