Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate information in the medical record for completeness, consistency, and accuracy
  • Perform highly specialized technical tasks in the management of medical records
Requirements:
  • Sufficient education, training, and experience to demonstrate the ability to perform the above tasks
  • Knowledge of medical coding and billing, including the principles and guidelines for CPT, HCPS, ICD-10 coding systems, and CMS guidelines
  • Ability to read and comprehend the technical elements of a medical chart
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
