Position Title: Customer Support Specialist - Administrative Contract

Job Overview:
The Customer Support Specialist is responsible for addressing and resolving telephone inquiries and requests from customers or potential customers in a timely, accurate, and courteous manner.

Utilizing appropriate telephone etiquette and all available resources, the specialist will competently and courteously respond to incoming customer inquiries, requests, and complaints.

This role involves troubleshooting inquiries and following up with customers on issues that require further resolution. The specialist will complete all necessary documentation related to call handling and maintain comprehensive and precise records.

Additionally, the role includes reporting laboratory results to clients and patients according to established protocols and ensuring timely follow-up to resolve all issues and concerns.

The specialist will also provide education and guidance to clients regarding laboratory processes and escalate issues as necessary to keep supervisors informed of client concerns, problems, or deviations from established procedures.

Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs or customer requirements.


Qualifications:

Required Experience:
A minimum of one (1) year of customer service and/or related healthcare experience is required. Hands-on knowledge of medical terminology is essential.

Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in a related healthcare setting is preferred.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive motions, including typing.

Knowledge and Skills:

Proficient telephone etiquette for managing customer inquiries, basic knowledge of office equipment operation, and an understanding of the significance of Quality Service and its measurement.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) are necessary for effective interaction with customers and colleagues. Proficiency in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.

Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment, along with strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities, is essential.

Good listening skills and the capacity to maintain a professional and tactful demeanor in stressful situations are crucial. Confidentiality in handling client information is mandatory.


Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
