RESPONSIBILITIES

As a key member of the Corporate Sustainability team, this position is tasked with advancing the development and execution of the organization's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives within our upstream Value Chain/Supply Chain. The Supply Chain Sustainability Analyst will engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to construct, assess, implement, and continuously enhance processes and controls across our supplier ESG initiatives, ensuring compliance with the evolving regulatory ESG landscape, leading ESG frameworks, external assurance readiness, and ESG rating indices. This role will also be involved in various assignments and projects related to supplier engagement, Supply Chain Carbon Committee initiatives, ESG reporting, and the evaluation and implementation of analytical and visualization tools, among other management-directed projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Sustainability Analyst (ESG Process & Controls Focus) is responsible for collaborating with various departments to enhance and/or implement activities related to ESG within our Supplier Risk Management program and platforms. They will coordinate with other functions and suppliers to achieve specific goals and milestones. This role is crucial as we continue to evolve our ESG initiatives and explore ways to integrate analytics and automation.

SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
  • Ensuring that ESG initiatives do not compromise the flawless execution of health, safety, and service quality.
  • Understanding and adhering to the evolving guidance, regulations, and applicable frameworks in the ESG domain and their implications for Weatherford's supply chain, including controls to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and auditability.
  • Upholding the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activities are conducted ethically and in compliance with Company policies, relevant laws, regulations, standards, and industry practices.
  • Familiarity with the Company's Security, Compliance & HSE policies and actively contributing to the enhancement of Weatherford's Management System concerning supplier ESG.
  • Exercising 'Stop Work Authority' in cases of non-compliance to suspend operations where necessary.
QUALITY
  • Being knowledgeable about the Company's Quality policies and actively participating in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Management System as it pertains to ESG, including programming related to ESG risks in the supply chain.
  • Maintaining service quality as a top priority when collaborating across all business areas.
OPERATIONAL CAPABILITY
  • Utilizing prior experience to support and educate the organization in establishing proper supplier governance, processes, and key controls to support external reporting and commitments.
  • Building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers on ESG-related topics, with a core focus on sustainability.
  • Collaborating closely with business units and supply chain colleagues to ensure coordinated and consistent engagement with key suppliers, driving positive outcomes.
  • Leading the successful daily delivery of supplier risk program sustainability services.
  • Driving the development and/or implementation of sustainability solutions and processes for suppliers, ensuring alignment with objectives and business outcomes.
  • Creating action plans, timelines, and resource assignments for supplier ESG/sustainability to ensure timely completion and fulfillment of business needs.
  • Communicating ESG risk mitigation strategies to suppliers and following up on implementation results. Leading complex projects to assess supplier ESG strategies, risks, and analyze outcomes. Systematically identifying and analyzing risks and documenting options to address significant risks.
  • Effectively developing and communicating clear change plans and advocating for implementation as a primary change agent to meet business needs. Facilitating acceptance of change in daily work processes, adhering to leading practices, and engaging with teams and peers for a cohesive approach to change.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate to execute and coach on improvements to climate-related metrics and opportunities, utilizing globally and industry-accepted methods, frameworks, or regulations.
  • Recommending enhancements to Weatherford's data collection, reporting methods, and monitoring improvement strategies for functions/geographies, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to build business cases and methods to track progress.
  • Promoting and raising awareness at multiple organizational levels regarding the impact of emerging environmental issues across the ESG landscape.
  • Collaborating with HSE counterparts to align operational environmental requirements to achieve goals.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the manager according to the needs of the supply chain Supplier Risk Management Program ESG requirements.
COMMUNICATION
  • Supporting the Sustainability team with ongoing stakeholder communications, including operational and executive leadership progress updates and opportunities.
  • Maintaining effective communication with all key stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Interfacing with manufacturing and operational locations in support of projects.
FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
  • Assisting the Sustainability and Supply Chain teams, as well as respective project teams, with the development and management of sustainability-related costs and financial implications.
  • All employees are accountable for financial responsibility, whether managing a function budget or their own expenses.
  • Costs incurred should remain within the approved budget and be processed within agreed time frames, adhering to relevant financial policies and procedures.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to internal stakeholders and suppliers to support progress against projects and/or strategies.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of awareness-raising communications and/or training courses for applicable improvement initiatives for both direct audiences and for broader global dissemination.
  • Employees are responsible for their career development within the Company, including completing necessary function training to enhance their skills and experience.
  • Completing all assigned Compliance & Company Standards training.
  • Engaging regularly with line manager(s) to discuss personal performance, objectives, and opportunities for skill enhancement and career potential.
VISION & LEADERSHIP
  • Actively participating in relevant internal and external ESG and/or professional committees to further contribute to Weatherford's Climate and ESG Strategies.
  • Effectively communicating ESG-related programming needs and influencing departmental subject matter experts to enhance sustainability practices and business cases for change.
  • Driving culture and change management across the organization to foster ESG understanding and awareness.
QUALIFICATION

Experience & Education

REQUIRED
  • 3-5 years or more of relevant professional experience specifically in Supplier Management and/or Supplier ESG.
  • BS or MS degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or Environmental Engineering/sciences, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge and/or understanding of environmental-related ESG reporting frameworks and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex projects and brief senior leadership.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills.
  • Strong influencing, collaboration, and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience leading and facilitating group processes and collaboration; a team player.
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint and Excel).
PREFERRED
  • Leveraging business intelligence and leading practice supply chain and industry concepts to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience with diversity and human rights programming in supply chains.
  • Familiarity with third-party Supplier Risk Platforms.
  • Experience in reviewing or developing sustainability clauses in contracts.
  • Experience in creating external Environmental, HSE, or Sustainability reports.
  • Experience with external Assurance Audits.
  • Sound knowledge or exposure to risk assessment, management, and monitoring practices.
  • Experience in developing processes and controls.
  • Proficiency in a second language (one of the five core Weatherford languages).
