Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Environmental Consultant to join our dedicated team as a Wetland Specialist. In this role, you will be an integral part of our Impact Assessment division, providing essential analytical support while collaborating with experienced professionals in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive fieldwork, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and client expectations.
  • Perform wetland delineation in accordance with established guidelines and regional supplements.
  • Document and analyze the physical characteristics of water bodies, including OHWM.
  • Execute habitat assessments and manage data entry and review processes.
  • Compile survey reports and assist with permit applications as necessary.
  • Engage directly with clients and subject matter experts to address biological and environmental science matters.
  • Support the development of ERM's service offerings through technical consulting.
  • Ensure all work is completed within quality, budget, and schedule parameters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a natural science discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including field seasons focused on wetland delineation.
  • Familiarity with the 1987 Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual and applicable regional supplements.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse weather conditions and challenging terrains.
  • Proficient in GPS technology and map interpretation.
  • Strong commitment to safety and effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
