The Clinical Practice Consultant leads and coordinates interdisciplinary efforts aimed at enhancing clinical practice, offering consultation, education, and research initiatives, while integrating evidence-based practices.

Essential Functions:
1. **Interprofessional Collaboration:**
Encourages teamwork in patient care, fostering a supportive and healthy work environment.
2. **Leadership in Practice:**
Collaborates with department leaders to establish service line priorities and build partnerships across the organization.
3. **Mentorship and Coaching:**
Guides nursing staff in effective decision-making and accountability, promoting a culture of feedback and professional growth.

Quality and Safety Initiatives:
This role indirectly influences patient care by enhancing the bedside nursing practice through education and support. It involves validating the effectiveness of training and overseeing the transition of clinicians to independent practice.

Performance Improvement:
Identifies practice gaps through assessments and metrics, planning and implementing strategies to address these gaps. Collaborates with quality teams to enhance patient safety and care quality.

Financial Acumen:
Develops project plans for practice changes while considering financial implications and resource utilization to meet departmental financial targets.

Professional Development:
Encourages continuous professional growth among staff, supporting transitions across clinical settings and fostering an environment of clinical inquiry.

Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Nursing or related field is preferred, along with five years of clinical nursing experience, including three years in a specialty area.

Licenses and Certifications:
Must possess a valid RN license in Texas or a compact state, along with BLS certification and relevant specialty certification.
