We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer for Sensor Packaging to facilitate the transition of innovative sensors from the design phase to mass production. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with creating and validating manufacturing processes tailored for high-volume output.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and validating MEMS/semiconductor packaging processes for large-scale production
  • Identifying essential equipment and technologies while developing custom systems for miniature sensor packaging
  • Collaboratively troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing challenges
  • Establishing process monitoring systems, defining pass/fail criteria, and implementing effective process controls
  • Conducting yield analysis and driving process improvements to enhance production yield
  • Supporting comprehensive product characterization and reliability testing initiatives

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related engineering discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the MEMS/semiconductor sector

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • A Master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or materials engineering
  • Over 7 years of experience in the MEMS or semiconductor field
  • Proven experience in transitioning MEMS or semiconductor devices from development to production
  • Expertise in MEMS or semiconductor packaging techniques, including dicing, die-attach, pick-and-place, flip-chip, wire bonding, wafer bonding, encapsulation, or vacuum sealing
  • Familiarity with advanced chip packaging and the integration of multiple components into a single package
  • Experience with hermetic or vacuum-sealed devices
  • Background in developing automated production systems

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to support extended hours and weekends as necessary to meet critical project timelines
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Range: $130,000 - $180,000 per year. Your specific level and base salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

In addition to base salary, you may be eligible for long-term incentives, including company stock options, discretionary bonuses, and the opportunity to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Employees accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and are eligible for 10 or more paid holidays each year. Exempt employees are entitled to 5 days of sick leave annually.
