We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team at Astrolab. As a key member of our spacecraft systems design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge avionics systems for lunar surface exploration.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop avionics systems, including component and system design lifecycle, from concept to delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
- Develop and implement test plans and procedures to ensure high-quality products.
- Lead Root Cause/Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations and resolutions.
- Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering or mathematics).
- 5+ years' of experience in spacecraft systems design and/or avionics component design.
- Preferred Bachelor's, Masters or Doctorate of Science degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
- Experience in one or more of: analog/digital circuits, embedded firmware, Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), serial and parallel communication protocols, Ethernet, Spacewire, RS-422 and other communication protocols.
- Experience in avionics screening techniques and standards, including shock, vibe, thermal and radiation.
- Good communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
