Lead Packaging Engineer for Sensor Technologies

SpaceX is seeking a Lead Packaging Engineer to significantly contribute to the advancement of sensor technologies, facilitating the transition from initial development stages to mass production. If you are enthusiastic about pioneering technology and making an impact in the aerospace sector, this position may be ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design innovative MEMS and semiconductor packaging methodologies for large-scale manufacturing.
  • Develop tailored systems for the packaging of compact sensors.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and resolve production challenges.
  • Implement process monitoring and controls to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Perform yield assessments and initiate process enhancements.
  • Assist in product characterization and reliability evaluations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the MEMS or semiconductor sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in relevant engineering disciplines is preferred.
  • Over 7 years of experience in the MEMS or semiconductor industry.
  • Demonstrated success in transitioning products from development to production.
  • Hands-on expertise in MEMS or semiconductor packaging techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in advanced chip packaging and integration methods.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing systems.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends during critical project phases.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range:
Lead Packaging Engineer: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 annually
