Lead Packaging Engineer for Sensor Technologies

SpaceX is seeking a Lead Packaging Engineer to be instrumental in the transition of innovative sensor technologies from their developmental stages to mass production. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design advanced MEMS/semiconductor packaging methodologies for large-scale manufacturing.
  • Develop tailored systems for the packaging of compact sensors.
  • Work collaboratively to identify and resolve production challenges.
  • Set up process monitoring systems and enforce controls to ensure consistent quality.
  • Perform yield assessments and spearhead process enhancements.
  • Assist in product characterization and reliability evaluations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related discipline.
  • Over 5 years of experience in the MEMS/Semiconductor sector.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • A Master's degree in relevant engineering disciplines is preferred.
  • More than 7 years of experience in the MEMS or Semiconductor field.
  • A proven history of advancing devices from development to production.
  • Hands-on expertise in MEMS or semiconductor packaging.
  • Knowledgeable in advanced chip packaging and integration methods.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing systems.

Additional Requirements:

  • Capability to support extended hours and weekends during critical project phases.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range:
Lead Packaging Engineer: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
