Floor Care Specialist

About the Role
Georgetown University is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Floor Care Specialist to join our facilities team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our campus facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all surfaces, including floors, walls, and ceilings, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students, faculty, and staff.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and buffers.
- Restock and maintain cleaning supplies and materials.
- Participate in special events and projects as needed, such as deep cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with other facilities staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities management team.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of custodial work experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license from Maryland, Virginia, or District of Columbia required.
- Basic knowledge of English, including reading, writing, and speaking skills.
- Ability to relate custodial and maintenance problems clearly to supervisor and/or the Work Management Center.
Work Mode Designation
This position has been designated as On-Campus. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University.
