Job Summary

The City of Hermosa Beach Isai is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to provide administrative support to our team. As an Office Assistant, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks, including typing and preparing reports, answering phone calls, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Types reports, letters, and other documents with high accuracy and efficiency
  • Answers phone calls and provides routine information to the public
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records and files
  • Prepares and checks payroll sheets and other financial documents
  • Operates office machines and equipment
  • Assists with community events and provides support to the Administrative Assistant

Requirements

  • Equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by courses in office practices
  • Some clerical work experience required
  • Ability to type 35 words per minute
  • Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License with a safe driving record
