KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compose and format reports, letters, checks, requisitions, and other documents.
- Respond to phone inquiries and provide routine information to the public.
- Organize and maintain correspondence, spreadsheets, and reports.
- Update records and post information accurately.
- Handle cash transactions and issue receipts as necessary.
- Prepare and verify payroll documentation.
- Perform basic arithmetic calculations.
- Review records and correspondence for accuracy and completeness.
- Operate various office equipment and technology.
- Assist in organizing community events and activities.
- Process applications, permits, licenses, and other documents in accordance with established procedures.
- Complete tasks accurately and within designated time frames.
- May be required to manage confidential or sensitive information.
- Support the Administrative Assistant in all aspects of office management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Familiarity with modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Proficiency in computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Understanding of business mathematics and proper grammar.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Education and Experience:
High school graduation or equivalent, supplemented by coursework in office practices. Prior clerical experience is preferred. Typing proficiency of at least 35 words per minute is required.
Licenses/Certificates:
A valid Class C California Driver's License with a clean driving record is necessary and must be maintained throughout employment.
