Position: Low Voltage Technician

As a Low Voltage Technician, your primary duties will involve the installation, testing, and termination of copper and fiber optic cabling within a construction environment. Your compensation will reflect your experience, skills, and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and terminate CAT5e/6a cabling in commercial settings
  • Set up support structures including J-hooks, saddles, slings, and cable trays
  • Utilize hand and power tools, ladders, and testing devices
  • Ensure cables are labeled correctly, test each cable, and uphold safety protocols
  • Gain familiarity with National Building Codes
  • Document time and materials utilized
  • Assist colleagues with installation and maintenance tasks
  • Provide technical assistance to clients
  • Conduct necessary research for project requirements
  • Adapt to various shifts and work environments

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least six months of relevant installation experience
  • Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation
  • Successful completion of drug and background checks
  • Industry certifications and manufacturer training are advantageous
  • OSHA certification is preferred
