As a Low Voltage Technician, your primary duties will involve the installation, testing, and termination of copper and fiber optic cabling within construction environments. Your compensation will reflect your experience, skill set, and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and terminate CAT5e/6a cabling in commercial settings
  • Set up support structures such as J-hooks, saddles, slings, and cable trays
  • Utilize hand and power tools, ladders, and testing devices
  • Ensure proper labeling of cables, conduct testing on each cable, and uphold safety protocols
  • Gain familiarity with National Building Codes
  • Document time and materials utilized
  • Assist colleagues with installation and maintenance tasks
  • Offer technical assistance to clients
  • Conduct necessary research for information
  • Adapt to various shifts and work environments

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least six months of relevant installation experience
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License and dependable transportation
  • Ability to pass drug and background checks
  • Certifications from the industry and manufacturer training are advantageous
  • OSHA certification is preferred
