Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Assembler to join our team at Powell Industries. As an Assembler, you will play a critical role in the production process, responsible for assembling and testing electrical and mechanical components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test electrical and mechanical components according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform maintenance and proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Conduct in-process inspections to ensure quality and identify potential risks to product quality.
  • Perform all shipping preparation functions, including splitting gear.
  • Promote a safety culture and attend all safety meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent Diploma.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
  • Basic knowledge of operating a desktop computer.
  • Safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Lift up to 50lbs using proper lifting techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Prior experience in building or repairing mechanical components.
  • Ability to read and understand spec sheets and follow proper use of hardware.
  • Safety training certificates.
Working Conditions

This is a safety-sensitive position in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and work at heights up to 20 feet.

Physical Requirements
  • Able to maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling.
  • Bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Use of upper extremities frequently, including working with both arms above shoulders and using both arms at full length.
  • Meet physical lifting demands up to 50lbs.
