Position Overview:
VSC Fire & Security is currently in search of a Fire & Gas Low Voltage Technician to join our dedicated team.

Qualifications Required:
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in the installation of low voltage systems within commercial construction.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 72, NFPA 70, FIC, electrical wiring, and relevant codes such as NFPA and NEC.
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent communication skills.
  • Adept at interpreting equipment manuals and simplifying complex instructions.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal directives with minimal oversight.
  • Competent in reading and understanding electrical plans, schematics, and specifications.
  • Must be able to pass various background checks as necessary.
  • Possession of reliable transportation and a valid State Driver's License with a clean driving record for company vehicle use.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation if required.
  • Preferred qualifications (not mandatory):
    • Experience or training in specialized systems.
    • NICET I Certification.
    • NICET II Certification required for applicants in Alabama.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, oversee, and coordinate the installation and servicing of low voltage systems.
  • Ensure adherence to Risk Management and Safety protocols on all job sites as per VSC standards.
  • Engage in the service and inspection processes to supervise project repairs, testing, and completion.
  • Address delays, emergencies, damages, and accidents at job sites, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
