Position Overview:
As a Senior Business Analyst within the Global Investment Control team at Capital Group, you will play a pivotal role in steering departmental priorities across various scales of initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include supporting projects aimed at enhancing scalability and integrating new functionalities into the investment workflow. This encompasses critical areas such as portfolio management, order and trade processing, compliance, and technology advancements.


Collaboration:
You will work closely with a diverse array of teams, including Project Managers, Technology Developers, Portfolio Managers, Traders, Research Analysts, and Legal and Compliance personnel. Your role will involve developing effective communication strategies and facilitating change management processes across the Global Investment Control framework.


Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and have over 5 years of experience in asset management, particularly in operations. A solid understanding of both equity and fixed income instruments, investment vehicles, markets, and the investment lifecycle is essential.


Project Management Skills:
You should be familiar with various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and be adept at navigating complex technical concepts. Your ability to analyze business processes, support solution design, and lead meetings and presentations will be crucial.


Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Demonstrating strong analytical capabilities, you will be expected to evaluate new ideas, analyze data, define project scope, objectives, risks, requirements, and explore solution options. Your experience in managing projects of varying sizes and your knack for problem-solving will be highly valued.


Stakeholder Management:
You will be skilled in engaging with stakeholders who have diverse needs and complexities. Your ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, both formally and informally, will be essential in making compelling business cases.


Relationship Building:
Building and maintaining meaningful relationships is key. You will be a collaborative team member, adept at adjusting your communication style to effectively influence a variety of personalities.


Strategic Insight:
Exercising sound judgment, you will translate business metrics and challenges into opportunities for improvement. Your ability to influence senior business leaders and provide concise executive summaries will be critical to your success.


Compensation:
The Southern California base salary range for this position is $116,974 - $187,158. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, Capital's annual profitability bonus, and a retirement plan with a 15% contribution from Capital on your eligible earnings.
