As a Senior Business Analyst within the Global Investment Control team at Capital Group, you will play a pivotal role in steering departmental priorities across a diverse range of projects, both large and small in scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Your primary focus will be on supporting initiatives that promote scalability and introduce innovative functionalities within the investment process. This encompasses critical areas such as portfolio management, order and trade processing, compliance, and enhancements in related technologies.
Collaboration is essential in this role. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including Project Managers, Technology Developers, Portfolio Managers, Traders, Research Analysts, and Legal and Compliance teams. Your efforts will be directed towards developing effective communication strategies and facilitating change management across the Global Investment Control landscape.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and have over 5 years of experience in asset management, particularly in operations. A solid understanding of both equity and fixed income instruments, investment vehicles, markets, and the overall investment process is crucial.
Familiarity with various project management methodologies (such as Agile and Waterfall) is expected, along with the ability to navigate complex technical concepts, analyze business processes, support solution design, and lead meetings and presentations.
Demonstrated analytical skills are essential, enabling you to evaluate new ideas effectively. This includes analyzing data, defining project scope, objectives, risks, requirements, and exploring solution options.
Experience in managing projects of varying sizes and complexities is vital, along with a talent for problem-solving, solution design, and business analysis.
Communication Skills:
You will be adept at engaging with stakeholders who have diverse needs and complexities. Your ability to deliver clear and concise messaging, along with making compelling business cases in both formal and informal settings, will be key to your success.
Building and maintaining meaningful relationships is crucial. You will be a collaborative team member, capable of adapting your communication style to influence a variety of personalities.
Additionally, exercising sound judgment will allow you to translate business metrics and challenges into opportunities for improvement and enhancements, effectively influencing senior business leaders and providing executive summary communications.
Compensation:
The Southern California base salary range for this position is $116,974-$187,158. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, along with Capital's annual profitability bonus. A retirement plan is also available, with Capital contributing 15% of your eligible earnings.
