Position Summary:
The Sales Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the Regional Sales Manager within a designated territory, contributing to the achievement of overall sales objectives for the company. This position also involves providing exceptional customer service to clients and manufacturer representatives as needed.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Sales Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a key resource for customers and manufacturer's representatives, delivering essential customer service, product selection, and technical support in a timely and professional manner.
  • Receiving and interpreting customer inquiries, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate quotations.
  • Following up on outstanding quotes promptly.
  • Conducting contract reviews, including understanding terms and conditions, technical evaluations, discounts, and commissions.
  • Processing credit and returned material authorizations (RMA).
  • Preparing detailed quotations, including sizing and competitive pricing analysis.
  • Collaborating with the Regional Sales Manager to maintain current information regarding customer activities to effectively serve clients in their absence.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned based on workload and business needs.


Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A working knowledge of computer systems sufficient to effectively utilize the company's CPQ and ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
  • Strong mathematical skills, familiarity with units of measure, and proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent reading comprehension, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interpret basic submittal drawings.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical equipment and processes, along with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Sales experience in pressure relief products, process equipment, compressors, pumps, or petrochemical controls maintenance or services is preferred.


Education and Experience:
The preferred qualifications include:

  • An Associate's degree in Business, Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of sales experience in mechanical applications, particularly in a role involving manufacturers' representatives.
