Position Overview:

Mollie Stone's Markets, a well-established family-owned grocery chain in the San Francisco Bay area, is seeking a dedicated HR Operations Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions across our retail locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all HR activities throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits management, and compliance.
  • Implement and uphold company policies and procedures to ensure a fair and compliant workplace.
  • Collaborate with management to address employee relations and performance management issues.
  • Gather and analyze HR data to inform decision-making and recommend improvements.
  • Support training and development initiatives to foster employee growth.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records and ensure data integrity.
  • Facilitate communication regarding benefits and policy changes to employees.
  • Work closely with the Payroll department to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Balance multiple tasks and priorities while adhering to deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar HR role, preferably within California.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Ceridian – Dayforce HRIS.
  • SHRM Certification is a plus.
  • Background in labor relations or union environments.
  • Experience in a family-owned business setting.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Effective communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
