About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Member Relationship Specialist to join our team at Redwood Credit Union. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our members, providing exceptional service, and promoting our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Service: Provide excellent service to all members, volunteers, internal employees, and service providers.
  • Cross-Selling: Cross-sell RCU and RCUSG products and services using a needs-based sales approach.
  • Account Management: Open accounts and match member needs to RCU and RCUSG products and services.
  • Loan Processing: Determine the appropriate loan product(s) to meet the member's needs, obtain information from the member to complete the loan application, and examine and collect proper loan documents.
  • Member Support: Research member questions, problems, and complaints and respond with accurate information, safeguard member information and ensure confidentiality by following established policy and procedures.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of financial institution products and services, including loans, thorough knowledge of personal computers with internet/intranet access and office equipment operation, skilled in counting and balancing cash, and skilled in the operation of office equipment.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people, and ability to identify errors and make corrections.
  • Education and Experience: Combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma, 18+ months experience in a retail sales/cash handling environment, and ability to obtain and maintain registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry in compliance with the requirements of Federal Law.
