POSITION: Vice President of People + Culture

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Vice President of People + Culture to lead our Human Resources division and work closely with our Executive Committee. This role is a hybrid position, requiring presence in the Home Office a few days each week, with occasional travel for onsite training and orientation sessions.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a strategic partner within the organization, the VP of People + Culture will be an integral member of the Executive Committee, ensuring that our human resource strategies align with daily operations and long-term objectives. This position will involve working alongside senior management to facilitate organizational growth by proactively identifying and addressing the needs for effective human resource solutions.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen and serve as a positive leader in a dynamic and evolving environment. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, collaborative, and possesses a strong background in hospitality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience in the hospitality sector, managing teams of over 1000 employees.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment regulations, particularly in California.
  • Experience in hands-on training and development initiatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR metrics effectively.
  • Capability to obtain any necessary government licenses or certifications.
