Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Federal Sales Director to lead our sales efforts in the Washington, DC area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and managing a team of Federal Account Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve aggressive revenue targets
  • Manage and motivate a team of Federal Account Managers to deliver exceptional results
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and prospects through disciplined selling techniques
  • Recruit, develop, and optimize individual performance within the sales team
  • Assist Account Managers in setting individual account strategies, performance objectives, and personal goals
  • Follow through to provide coaching and to assure implementation, completion, and feedback
  • Develop and maintain effective communications and liaison relationships with staff and field personnel
  • Liaise with other Regional Directors to ensure a consistent, unified face to the customer and Sales personnel
  • Analyze, evaluate, and make recommendations to improve sales methods, organization, and coverage

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver strategic sales plans, selling large-investment products
  • Relevant technical competency in network products to enable recognition and competent discussion of issues and their solutions
  • Track record of exceptional and consistent quota achievement through region management
  • Trained in sales management – has attended relevant sales management courses
  • 5+ years of salespeople management experience
  • 10+ years of relevant field sales experience in computer networking/network management technologies
  • Solid history leading a successful Sales Team, strong motivator, and creative/effective coach
  • Need to live in the Washington DC Metro Area
  • Substantial travel within the region and occasionally beyond is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sales experience selling to Federal Government Accounts (DOD, Intel)
  • Security Clearance Preferred
