About the Role

Lakeside Software is a leading provider of IT management solutions for large, complex environments. We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as a Vice President, Information Security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Information Security Strategy: Provide strategic leadership and oversight of our information security program, aligning it with our business goals, organizational initiatives, and product roadmap.
  • Enterprise-Wide Security Framework: Deploy an enterprise-wide information security framework consistent with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Collaborative Working Relationships: Promote collaborative, effective, and security-focused working relationships across the organization.
  • Customer-Facing Expertise: Serve as a customer-facing resource and subject matter expert on security-related matters.
  • Risk-Based Information Security Plan: Maintain and administer an annual risk-based information security plan aligned with our strategies, goals, and risk profile.
  • Threat Mitigation Strategies: Develop and evolve strategies to guard against loss or compromise of critical, valuable, and sensitive information and to effectively detect, respond to, and recover from information security issues.
  • Information Security Program Reporting: Provide reports to relevant stakeholders on information security program status and material matters related to the program.
Requirements
  • 15+ Years of Experience: 15+ years of relevant experience working in information technology and cyber security with a proven track record of developing, designing, and articulating a long-term information security strategy.
  • Advanced Certifications: BA or BS degree in information security, computer science, or a related field. Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
  • Information Security Principles: Strong understanding of information security principles, practices, and technologies, including network security, application security, cloud security, and endpoint security.
  • Established Security Frameworks: Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining common security frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001, NIST).
  • Data Privacy Laws: Working knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations.
  • B2B SaaS Solutions: Experienced in B2B SaaS Solutions, preferably running in Azure.
  • Evolving Security Threats: Comprehensive understanding of evolving security threats, events, and market dynamics across business ecosystems to evaluate potential impacts and prioritize strategic focus areas.
  • Team Leadership: Effective team leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with others through conflicting pressures and priorities while resolving complex issues.
  • Incident Response: Meaningful experience leading incident response efforts, including coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Security Education: Deep credibility in developing and delivering security initiatives and programs to educate customers, partners, employees, and other stakeholders on security-related matters.
  • Security Communication: Expertise in conveying security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders (including executives) with the ability to influence and advocate for necessary security measures.
  • Customer-Oriented: Customer-oriented, emotionally intelligent mindset with an ability to develop strong relationships and navigate challenges.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to be innovative and approach issues with a strategic mindset to provide thoughtful evaluations and recommendations on security risks as they relate to project aims, facilitating resolution in cases of conflict.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Experience with Artificial Intelligence or other machine learning tools would be a plus.
Additional Details
  • Hybrid Work Arrangement: Location: Hybrid with a preference for 1-2 days per week in our Atlanta, GA office. The frequency at which the hire will be required to come onsite is based on their proximity to the office.
