Position Overview
This role entails providing strategic leadership and advanced technical knowledge to the information security initiatives across multiple units within a large organizational framework. The primary focus is on safeguarding and ensuring the integrity of information assets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Policy Development: Formulate and propose information security policies, standards, and best practices tailored to the assigned organizational area.
2. Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability evaluations, and implement necessary responses.
3. Threat Mitigation: Identify and address vulnerabilities that may compromise the information assets of the designated units.
4. Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend new information security technologies to enhance security measures.
5. Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs focused on information security awareness and practices.
6. Compliance Maintenance: Ensure security systems adhere to relevant regulations and standards.
7. Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: A minimum of six to seven years of relevant professional experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) are highly regarded.
Advanced Education: A Master's Degree is preferred.
Compensation
Salary Range: $90,979 - $123,732
Skills and Abilities
This position demands extensive knowledge of information security principles, technologies, and practices, along with familiarity with applicable regulations. Strong organizational, leadership, and customer service skills are essential.
