Role Summary
This position entails providing strategic leadership and advanced technical knowledge to the information security program across multiple units within a large organizational framework. The primary goal is to ensure the safety and ongoing protection of information assets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Policy Development: Formulate and propose information security policies, standards, and best practices within the designated campus area.
2. Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and testing, responding appropriately to identified issues.
3. Vulnerability Mitigation: Identify and address vulnerabilities that threaten the information assets of assigned units.
4. Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend the acquisition of new and enhanced information security technologies.
5. Training and Development: Create and deliver training programs on information security topics.
6. Compliance Maintenance: Ensure security systems adhere to relevant regulations.
7. Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Six to seven years of relevant professional experience. Overnight travel may be required for project execution, and flexibility in service delivery hours is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) is desirable.
Advanced Education: A Master's Degree is preferred.
Compensation: Salary Range: $90,979 - $123,732
Job Grade: I6
