The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Professional to join our team at Syracuse Airport in New York. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to established recipes and chef specifications.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You will have the chance to interact with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, while developing your hospitality skills and contributing to the success of our food and beverage services.

Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Staff Position, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Following assignments for opening and closing procedures, as well as food production
  • Preparing food and beverage products following recipe guidelines, using proper preparation techniques, and sanitation guidelines
  • Setting up and operating kitchen equipment
  • Keeping your workstation and equipment clean, organized, and sufficiently stocked
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • The ability to understand recipes and food abbreviations
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to follow procedures, take directions, and work in a team environment
  • Basic math skills to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions
Physical Demands

This role requires:

  • Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
  • The ability to lift 20 pounds or more
  • The ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders
  • Exposure to variable temperatures
Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a variety of shifts available, including day and evening shifts, holidays, and weekends.
