Responsibilities:
  • Develop new and exciting menu options, drawing inspiration from seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design and refine meal concepts, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes.
  • Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring a timely and efficient workflow to meet service demands.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, striving for complete satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and place orders for supplies as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior culinary team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Recruit and train new kitchen staff, upholding XO Taco's high standards of excellence.
  • Evaluate the performance of kitchen staff and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
  • Adhere to strict sanitation and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and hygienic workspace.
  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef, demonstrating strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in culinary arts or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and restaurant management software.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills with demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
