Position Overview


We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our Testing Team as the Electronics Testing Manager. In this pivotal role, you will lead the testing initiatives for airborne electronic systems integral to our Processing and Communications, Flight Sensors, and Avionics systems. This includes critical hardware components such as the Flight Control Computer and Vehicle Navigation Computer.

Your responsibilities will encompass supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) throughout the development and certification testing phases. You will be instrumental in identifying testing requirements, creating tailored testing capabilities, mentoring Test Engineers, and conducting thorough root cause analyses of any failures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with various IPT teams to establish a comprehensive testing strategy that ensures safety and compliance.
  • Interpret test requests from teams and determine the appropriate testing methodologies required to meet project milestones.
  • Design and develop custom Test Support Equipment in partnership with the Equipment Design team to facilitate rigorous testing.
  • Oversee a team of Test Engineers, providing them with technical guidance and support throughout the testing process.
  • Ensure timely completion of Equipment Qualification Test Procedures and Qualification Test Reports.
  • Work in conjunction with the Testing Team's Program Manager to monitor and achieve the team's primary objectives.
Qualifications


Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in testing. A proven track record in building and managing engineering teams is essential.

Familiarity with performance verification methods, environmental qualification, and reliability testing standards for electronics is required. Candidates should also have hands-on experience with instrumentation for electronics testing and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications


Advanced degrees (M.S. or PhD) with 7+ years of experience are highly desirable. Experience in taking products from concept to deployment, as well as familiarity with environmental testing standards, will be advantageous.
