PDS Defense, Inc. is in search of an Electronics Testing Specialist.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated individual to become a vital part of our Testing division. In this role, you will play a key role in the evaluation and validation of critical components and systems for advanced VTOL electric aircraft. Our team consists of dedicated, skilled, and proactive professionals who thrive in a dynamic and fulfilling environment. We aim to enhance our team with individuals who share our vision of innovation in the transportation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Test Engineers and Equipment Design Engineers to assist in the assembly, upkeep, and operation of custom-designed testing rigs, stands, and fixtures.

- Install various instrumentation and data acquisition systems, including foil strain gauges, accelerometers, load cells, and thermistors.

- Provide support to Test Engineers in the assembly of electro-mechanical equipment at both component and system levels with minimal oversight.

- Execute wiring harness construction, soldering of electronic components, and demonstrate overall electrical craftsmanship.

- Set up, conduct, and oversee validation and reliability testing at both component and system levels according to established test plans.

- Assist in creating technical work procedures and process documentation.

- Ensure a tidy workspace and maintain an inventory of tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

- A positive mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities.

- A hands-on approach and meticulous attention to detail in a testing environment.

- Experience in mechanical design and the interpretation of manufacturing drawings.

- Proficiency in the assembly of components and the integration of electronic systems.

- Capability to operate and maintain a variety of instrumentation, analytical tools, hand tools, and high-voltage equipment.

- A minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.

- High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

- IPC certification or equivalent in rework and soldering.

- Familiarity with tool maintenance schedules and equipment calibration practices.

- Experience in laboratory data analysis.

- Knowledge of industrial testing laboratory environments and protocols.

- Proficiency in LabView and MATLAB.

- Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design software such as Catia and Solidworks.
