Position Overview:
We are in search of a meticulous and enthusiastic individual to become a vital part of our Testing division. In this role, you will play a significant part in the development of essential components and systems for vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) electric aircraft. Our team comprises exceptionally skilled, dedicated, and proactive professionals who thrive in a dynamic and fulfilling atmosphere. We aim to enhance our team with individuals who share our vision of innovation in the transportation sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Test Engineers and Equipment Design Engineers to assist in the assembly, maintenance, and operation of custom-designed testing rigs, stands, and fixtures.
- Install various instrumentation and data acquisition systems, including foil strain gauges, accelerometers, load cells, and thermistors.
- Support Test Engineers in assembling electro-mechanical equipment at both component and system levels with minimal oversight.
- Construct wiring harnesses, perform soldering of electronic components, and demonstrate exceptional electrical craftsmanship.
- Set up, execute, and oversee validation and reliability testing at both component and system levels according to established test plans.
- Contribute to the creation of technical work procedures and documentation processes.
- Ensure a tidy workspace and maintain an organized inventory of tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess a positive attitude and are willing to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking are essential. A hands-on approach and attention to detail in a testing environment are crucial.
Applicants should have:
- A minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
- A high school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are desirable:
- IPC certification or equivalent for rework and soldering.
- Experience with tool maintenance and equipment calibration.
- Familiarity with laboratory data analysis.
- Knowledge of industrial testing laboratory environments and protocols.
- Proficiency in LabView and MATLAB.
- Experience with Computer-Aided Design software such as Catia and Solidworks.
