Electronics Testing Specialist

PDS Defense, Inc. is looking for an Electronics Testing Specialist.
Position Overview:
We are in search of a meticulous and enthusiastic individual to enhance our Testing division. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development of essential components and systems for vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) electric aircraft. Our team comprises highly skilled, dedicated, and proactive professionals working in a dynamic and fulfilling environment. We aim to grow our team with individuals who are eager to make a significant impact in the transportation sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Test Engineers and Equipment Design Engineers to assist in the assembly, maintenance, and operation of proprietary test rigs, stands, and fixtures.
- Install measurement instruments and data collection systems utilizing foil strain gauges, accelerometers, load cells, thermistors, and other sensors.
- Support Test Engineers in assembling electro-mechanical equipment at both component and system levels with minimal oversight.
- Construct wiring harnesses, perform soldering tasks, and demonstrate overall electrical craftsmanship.
- Set up, execute, and oversee validation and reliability assessments at both component and system levels according to approved testing protocols.
- Contribute to the creation of technical work procedures and documentation processes.
- Ensure a tidy workspace and maintain an inventory of tools and equipment.
Qualifications:

- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities.
- Hands-on approach and attention to detail in a testing environment.
- Experience with mechanical design and manufacturing documentation.
- Background in component assembly and systems integration of electronic devices.
- Ability to operate and maintain a diverse range of instrumentation, analytical tools, hand tools, and high-voltage equipment.
- A minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IPC certification or equivalent in rework and soldering.
- Experience with maintenance schedules for tools and calibration of equipment.
- Familiarity with laboratory data analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of industrial testing laboratory environments and protocols.
- Proficiency in LabView and MATLAB.
- Experience with Computer-Aided Design software such as Catia and Solidworks.
