Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess at least 8 years of experience in creating and refining functional test protocols specifically within the aerospace or aviation sectors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Formulate detailed test strategies, methodologies, and instrumentation designs to ensure comprehensive evaluation of electronic components.
  • Establish clear test objectives, necessary instrumentation, and thorough procedural documentation.
  • Work closely with design engineers of testing equipment to guarantee that all specifications are fulfilled.
  • Examine failures post-testing, determine underlying issues, and offer insights for design improvements.
  • Verify that Airborne Electronic Hardware complies with design specifications and certification criteria.
  • Assist in the creation of Qualification Test Plans and Procedures for regulatory approval.
  • Conduct observed tests for certification validation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Test Engineering, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record in developing and refining functional test protocols.
  • Expertise in various environmental testing methods, including thermal cycling, humidity, and vibration assessments.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation used in environmental testing.
  • Experience navigating electromagnetic environments and associated challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in testing electronic hardware to meet industry standards.
  • Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis of electronic failures.
  • Proficiency in programming tools such as Matlab, Python, and LabView.
