Schneider Electric is seeking a Manufacturing Procurement Lead to oversee our procurement activities. This pivotal role is responsible for managing the connections between the purchasing team and the manufacturing operations, ensuring that our facilities achieve their procurement goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Efficiency

  • Collaborate with Procurement Sourcing Leads (PSL) to drive material efficiency within the facility.
  • Track negotiation initiatives and evaluate their outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to local PSLs in managing technical and supplier modifications, including the escalation process within both the purchasing department and the manufacturing site.
  • Work alongside PSLs to identify new strategies to meet productivity targets.
  • Ensure the accuracy of projected savings by challenging PSLs to align maintenance activities with financial realities.
  • Participate in monthly reconciliation meetings to ensure alignment between forecasted and actual productivity.

Supplier Oversight

  • Assist Plant Quality Managers in evaluating supplier performance for critical issues, engaging in the internal escalation process as necessary.
  • Attend monthly Supplier Performance Meetings with the manufacturing team.
  • Alert the plant to potential short- and medium-term quality and logistics risks arising from the supplier landscape.

Market Awareness

  • Ensure the existence and dissemination of Supplier Orientation Charts within the plant.
  • Keep the plant informed about significant changes in the supplier market and alert them to any identified risks.

Qualifications:

What qualifications will contribute to your success?

  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven success in procurement.
  • Certification in procurement (CPM or CPIM) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a strong ambition for career advancement.
  • Ability to influence and persuade across various functions to meet organizational objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of negotiation strategies, project management, and manufacturing processes.
  • Adept at thriving in a dynamic environment and managing competing priorities effectively.
