Job Overview
Core Responsibilities:

PRIMARY ROLE:

Design and specify sophisticated electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. Enhance manufacturing support and maintenance initiatives through training and technical assistance. Develop process specifications, machine parameters, and strategies for minimizing waste and maximizing operational efficiency. Lead capital projects from the strategic planning stage through to procurement, installation, testing, and transition to operational teams. Benchmark leading facilities and implement top-tier processes, equipment, and workflows.

KEY FUNCTIONS:
Design control systems for machinery, encompassing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

Select capital equipment for manufacturing operations.

Enhance existing machinery to boost uptime, improve quality, and increase productivity.

Provide engineering support for production equipment and processes, including guidance for maintenance teams.

Establish cost-saving initiatives to align with overall plant objectives.

Advise on enhancements to preventative maintenance strategies.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineers on continuous improvement initiatives.

Authorize and approve modifications to machine tool programs.

Train team members on new technologies and manufacturing methodologies.

Adhere to and maintain Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards.

Participate in team efforts and lead team activities.

Monitor and document cost savings.

PFMEAs:
Understand the application of PFMEAs within the organization; develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as necessary.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

Position necessitates technical expertise in machine operations, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.

Technical knowledge in mechanical design is essential.

Strong capabilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning are required. Excellent interpersonal skills are crucial.

Mentorship and development of maintenance personnel are expected.

Support other facilities with technical challenges.

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to self-manage assigned project tasks.

Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving techniques.
