Key Responsibilities:

Operational Efficiency

  • Collaborate with Procurement Sourcing Leads (PSL) to drive material efficiency within the manufacturing unit.
  • Evaluate negotiation strategies and their outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to local PSLs in managing technical and supplier modifications, including identification and tracking of progress, while facilitating escalation processes within the procurement team and/or manufacturing.
  • Work with PSLs to identify new initiatives aimed at achieving productivity targets.
  • Ensure the accuracy of projected savings by challenging PSLs to align maintenance activities with financial realities.
  • Participate in monthly reconciliation meetings to ensure consistency between forecasted and actual productivity.

Supplier Oversight

  • Assist Plant Quality Managers in evaluating supplier performance during critical situations, following internal escalation protocols.
  • Engage in monthly Supplier Performance Meetings with the manufacturing team.
  • Keep the manufacturing team informed about short- and medium-term quality and logistical risks arising from the supplier market.

Market Intelligence

  • Ensure that Supplier Orientation Charts are established and communicated effectively to the manufacturing team.
  • Alert the manufacturing team to significant changes in the supplier market and identify potential risks.

Qualifications:

What qualifications will enhance your success in this role?

  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven success in procurement roles.
  • Certification in procurement (CPM or CPIM) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a strong ambition for career advancement.
  • Ability to influence and persuade across various functions to achieve organizational objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of negotiation techniques, project management, and manufacturing processes.
  • Adept at thriving in a dynamic environment while managing competing priorities.
