Job Overview
Core Responsibilities:

PRIMARY ROLE:

Design and specify cutting-edge electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. Enhance manufacturing support and maintenance initiatives through comprehensive training and technical assistance. Develop process specifications, machine parameters, and strategies for reducing waste and improving operational uptime. Lead capital projects from initial strategic planning through procurement, installation, testing, and transition to operational teams. Benchmark against industry-leading facilities and implement top-tier processes, equipment, and workflows.

KEY FUNCTIONS:
Design control systems for manufacturing machinery, encompassing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

Select capital equipment tailored for manufacturing operations.

Optimize existing machinery to boost uptime, enhance quality, and increase productivity.

Provide engineering support for production equipment and processes, including maintenance advisement.

Establish cost-saving initiatives to align with overall plant objectives.

Advise on enhancements to preventative maintenance strategies.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineering teams for continuous improvement efforts.

Authorize and approve modifications to machine tool programs.

Train personnel on new technologies and manufacturing methodologies.

Adhere to and maintain Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards.

Participate in team initiatives and champion collaborative activities.

Monitor and document cost savings.

PFMEAs:
Understand the application of PFMEAs within the organization; develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as necessary.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

Technical expertise in machine functionality, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems is essential.

Proficiency in mechanical design is required.

Strong capabilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning are necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills are vital.

Mentorship and development of maintenance staff are expected.

Support other facilities with technical challenges.

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to self-manage assigned project tasks.

Preferred experience includes data-driven analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
