Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Operations Coordinator to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for supporting administrative functions in our club, participating in the hiring process, and facilitating team member orientation and benefit enrollment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support administrative functions in the club, including maintaining HR records, filing, and team member communication.
  • Participate in the hiring process, including setting up second interviews for Club Manager/Assistant Club Manager.
  • Conduct new team member orientation and facilitate training for all new hires.
  • Control comprehensive scheduling processes for all hourly team members.
  • Ensure club payroll is completed accurately and timely, and maintain all payroll records properly.
  • Administer all personnel paperwork, including new hire paperwork, hourly wage increases, promotions, terminations, worker's compensation, and unemployment claims.
  • Support club talent acquisition efforts, including ensuring the in-club hiring table and recruitment marketing materials are set to GOLD standards.
  • Conduct benefit orientations and facilitate communication of annual benefits open enrollment process.
  • Maintain team member personnel and medical files, and answer team member questions or direct them to the appropriate company resources.
  • Address non-complex team member relations issues and escalate as necessary.
  • Handle team member confidential information with care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Detailed-oriented and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Prior human resources, administrative, or clerical experience is preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel, Email) required.

Work Environment

This role requires regular, predictable, full attendance and involves frequent sitting at a computer, occasional lifting, bending, and moving files or boxes. The work environment is located in a comfortable indoor area with frequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises.
