Overview:

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role in managing the organization’s payroll and benefits administration while addressing day-to-day employee inquiries. Key responsibilities encompass payroll processing, benefits management, onboarding of new hires, policy documentation, payroll compliance filings, and daily interactions with employees across various HR-related topics.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

General Human Resources:
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as compliance training, educational initiatives, and new employee orientation while contributing to team objectives.
  • Act as the primary contact for employee relations inquiries, escalating issues to the appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Maintain HR documentation on SharePoint, including Department of Labor postings for legal compliance.
  • Oversee the employee performance review system, providing necessary support and training to staff.
  • Manage the personnel record filing system to meet organizational needs and comply with current employment regulations.
Benefits Administration:
  • Support the implementation and management of employee benefit programs.
  • Provide training and assistance to staff regarding all benefits offerings.
Payroll:
  • Execute all payroll entries, allocations, and reporting tasks.
  • Gather, input, and verify payroll data for timely processing.
  • Maintain payroll systems and prepare all necessary payroll reports to fulfill internal and external requirements.
  • Manage electronic personnel files, including withholdings, benefit deductions, and leave allocations.
  • Process payroll for new hires and terminations, reconciling monthly benefit insurance invoices.
  • Provide information on employee benefits, including vacation, holiday time, 401(k) plans, and health insurance.
  • Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries, including leave accruals and deductions.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the marketing manager to integrate GMRI branding into recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Manage social media postings to highlight active job openings.
  • Utilize content management systems to update job listings and HR-related information.
  • Coordinate photo sessions for new employees.
  • Solicit and compile staff biographies and updates.
  • Contribute to internal communication channels, including digital signage and staff presentations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in payroll processing and handling confidential information.
  • Background in benefits administration.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
