POSITION SUMMARY: This role is designed to generate marketing avenues for Musket in the transportation and delivery of fuel to a dedicated clientele. The individual will be responsible for negotiating long-term supply agreements and cultivating a customer base that enhances liquidity for Musket's inventory within Regional Supply frameworks. Additionally, this position will leverage Musket's Market Solutions team to deliver innovative supply solutions to clients, collaborating with cross-functional teams. A successful candidate will exhibit a proven track record of managing multiple intricate projects and effectively communicating with project teams, senior leadership, and a diverse array of customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with clients daily to foster strong relationships, including establishing credit, managing lifting numbers at supply points, and wholesaling fuel across various distribution channels. Explore opportunities to integrate renewable fuels into hydrocarbon offerings when economically viable.
  • Conduct site visits to clients to gain insights into their business operations. Participate in industry trade shows to represent Musket and network for new marketing opportunities across different sectors.
  • Research and bid on annual contracts for railroads, trucking firms, and commercial clients to optimize returns for Musket.
  • Perform market analysis in emerging areas to identify potential opportunities for Musket.
  • Proficient in computer applications: Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with DTN, DTN Exchange, Solarc, and Sales Force.
  • Comprehend financial markets, particularly oil and gas trading sectors. Ability to interpret reports from Platts, OPIS, and Argus Media.
  • Knowledge of refining processes, pipeline operations, terminal management, and retail fueling services.
  • Familiarity with Accounts Payable and Receivable operations, addressing billing inquiries and fuel tax regulations. Awareness of Credit Department requirements for customer credit approval.
  • Promote Musket's services, including trans-loading, ethanol, and biodiesel terminal throughput agreements.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years in petroleum, refining, wholesale, or trading sectors.

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Skills:
    • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledgeable in SolArc Right.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, teamwork orientation, problem-solving aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, effective time management, and prioritization capabilities.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged periods of sitting, with some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Normal range of hearing and vision required.
    • Willingness to travel as needed.
    • Availability for on-call duties throughout the year.
