General Overview:

The Technical Sales Specialist is tasked with cultivating and overseeing the assigned sales territory to meet order volume and profitability objectives within the restaurant and industrial kitchen ventilation sectors. A passion for establishing and nurturing relationships with various stakeholders, including owners, national accounts, mechanical contractors, engineers, consultants, and food service equipment contractors, is crucial for comprehending the broader landscape and advancing your career with Greenheck. We seek an individual who is motivated to successfully finalize sales, eager to exceed set sales targets, and continuously on the lookout for new selling opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market and promote HVAC and commercial kitchen ventilation equipment to food service equipment dealers and national chain accounts.
  • Provide technical guidance and application support to food service consultants to influence their design and specification choices.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to enhance sales effectiveness, while also expanding new business and nurturing existing partnerships.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Actively pursue decision-makers in purchasing and build robust business relationships.
  • Facilitate successful collaboration by showcasing the strengths of Greenheck's products and services.
  • Assist in negotiating contract terms with clients effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to sell additional Greenheck products to the current customer base to enhance the value of customer/vendor relationships.
  • Encourage facility visits with strategically significant customers and partners.
  • Participate in trade shows, product exhibitions, and industry events as necessary to stay informed about trends and changes in the kitchen ventilation market.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, sales, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • A professional background in mechanical engineering or outside sales is desirable. Candidates with technical expertise but limited sales experience will receive mentorship from an experienced Account Manager for technical sales training.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Must be comfortable working with a high degree of independence.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar software is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills are required.
  • HVAC experience is advantageous.
Sales Territory:
In this role, you will cover a designated sales territory and can be based in any city within that area. You will primarily operate from a home office with occasional travel required throughout the territory.
