Position Overview


The role of the Chemico Systems Sales and Service Technician is pivotal in driving the promotion and technical assistance of Chemico Systems products across designated markets and clients. This position entails providing on-site technical support to ensure the optimal application of Chemico Systems offerings.


Key Products:
Detackification solutions, Floor maintenance cleaners, Booth upkeep products, and JanSan supplies.


The responsibilities encompass conducting performance assessments of materials and mechanical operations, including testing, analytical evaluations, troubleshooting, product suggestions, process enhancements, and the creation of support documentation and reports.


Core Responsibilities:
  • Deliver support and services for current customer accounts and product lines.
  • Facilitate sales of Chemico Systems products within targeted markets and clients.
  • Conduct on-site training sessions as required.
  • Develop and implement chemical procedures and operational standards.
  • Oversee all chemical systems to ensure compliance with documented operational guidelines.
  • Address and resolve chemical-related challenges as they arise.
  • Maintain communication with the Business Development Manager and Sales/Service/Site Manager regarding on-site needs.
  • Coordinate training activities both on-site and off-site.
  • Ensure effective chemical application and adherence to consumption rates.
  • Identify and implement ongoing process improvements.
  • Collaborate with site personnel to maintain chemical-related equipment.
  • Respond to Requests for Service with thorough research.
  • Participate in problem-solving teams.
  • Manage and support paint Detack operations.
  • Verify the functionality of chemical metering equipment to ensure accurate dosing.
  • Conduct required tests on the Detack system and recommend necessary adjustments based on results.
  • Perform regular inspections of sludge removal equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Inform relevant customer personnel of any irregularities, system issues, or out-of-spec test results.
  • Maintain accurate records of all testing and sludge removal activities.
  • Present findings to internal and external management, providing recommendations on processes (Service Report).
  • Carry out additional duties and assignments as needed.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in utilizing technology for analysis, results communication, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to achieve set goals and objectives.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Resourceful in obtaining product information from suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Effective team player.
  • Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects amid changing operational demands.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem identification and resolution.
  • Willingness to accept challenges and engage in new projects.
  • Ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for extended periods.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or a related technical field, along with 3-5 years of experience in paint Detack.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications.

Work Environment:


This position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role necessitates a presence on the manufacturing floor, involving significant walking on concrete surfaces and the use of standard office equipment.

Travel Requirements:


Overnight travel may be necessary, potentially up to 25%.
