We are seeking a seasoned technical leader to join our team as a Senior Technical Leader - Field Engineering. In this role, you will lead teams of technical professionals and be responsible for driving the success of our Field Engineering segment.

About the Role:

  • Lead teams of technical professionals, including Solution Architects, Specialist Solution Architects, and Delivery Solutions Architects, to drive the success of our Field Engineering segment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Field Engineering team.
  • Collaborate with sales, services, marketing, and product organizations to drive growth and consumption of our solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and partners, to position the strength of Databricks and build trust and credibility in the account.
  • Develop and execute plans to increase the efficiency of our Solution Architects, Specialist Solution Architects, and Delivery Solutions Architects in sales and consumption cycles.
  • Drive a consistent, thorough management operating rhythm to review key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions.
  • Build a collaborative culture within the Field Engineering team and drive a culture of inclusivity and resilience.
  • Recruit and develop talent, including leaders and technical professionals, to drive the growth and success of the Field Engineering segment.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in building and scaling pre-sales and customer delivery teams.
  • Experience in scaling and mentoring field and technical teams managing both in-person and remote working models.
  • Experience working with accounts, from growth/net new to large and complex accounts generating +$1M ARR.
  • Relevant high-growth enterprise software pre-sales success with senior-level tenure at a reputable software company, with experience in the Financial Services market.
  • Knowledgeable in AI, and Cloud software models with technical competence in Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, and Analytics/Machine Learning.
  • Experience instituting processes for technical field members to improve operational efficiency.
  • Organizational leadership, with an ability to attract, develop, and retain talent.
  • Ability to operate in a rapidly changing, ambiguous environment, while delivering results in the near term and building for durable, long-term growth.
  • Open to travel up to 25% per month.
