We are currently seeking a Financial Audit/Internal Controls Consultant to support the U.S. Army. This role is hybrid, requiring on-site presence three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the application of financial policies and procedures to ensure adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing audit findings and recommend strategies for operational improvements.
  • Engage with stakeholders to assess current processes and suggest corrective measures.
  • Participate in meetings and provide on-site client support as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business Management, or relevant certifications (CPA, CISA, PMP, CGFM, CDFM) with a minimum of four years of experience in federal financial management and two years in federal accounting.
  • Demonstrated experience in internal controls within a DoD or military context.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate internal control and risk management concepts effectively.
  • Thorough understanding of financial statement audits and familiarity with A-123 regulations.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in conveying internal control concepts in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to enhance risk management practices across various divisions.
  • Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
