We are currently looking for an Audit/Internal Controls Consultant to support financial operations for the U.S. Army. This role is designed to be hybrid, requiring on-site presence three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the execution of financial policies and procedures to guarantee adherence to Department of Defense standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Draft comprehensive reports detailing audit findings and propose strategies for improving operational efficiencies and controls.
  • Engage with stakeholders to assess current processes and recommend corrective measures.
  • Participate in meetings and provide in-person client support as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business Management, or relevant certifications (CPA, CISA, PMP, CGFM, CDFM) with a minimum of four years of experience in federal financial management and two years in federal accounting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in internal controls within a Department of Defense or military context.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate internal control and risk management concepts effectively.
  • Strong understanding of financial statement audits and familiarity with A-123 regulations.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a meticulous approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to effectively communicate internal control concepts in both written and verbal formats.
  • Experience working with stakeholders to advance risk management practices across various divisions.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
